Ian Sandall
A little about Ian
Ian is a bigger racking geek than you will find!
The Black Country lad has spent most of his working life in the storage industry, as a 16-year-old spotty youth at a drawing board (proper old!) as a junior draughtsman plotting out layouts, later joining the 21st Century by qualifying as a CAD draughtsman.
Wanting to spread his wings he went into sales, Forklift Trucks became the focus, sadly Ian quickly realised he couldn’t sell a fridge in the desert! But it was a great experience.
Racking entered his life and very soon became a passion. Plying his trade at Dexion distributors before taking the bold step to become a SEMA Approved Racking Inspector in 2007 .. for the first time.
Taking a brave step to have a ‘career break’ to be a dad to two kids which he admits he barely knew due his passion for work, he finally knows his daughter’s favorite food and his son’s ability on the Xbox lol.
Getting back to racking, in 2017 SEMA Approved Racking Inspector again!
Not just any inspector, his last couple of roles have been managing inspection and training departments, this included designing training courses, setting up systems of work, and managing inspectors… oh the stress!
The BIG decision…In 2024, yes taking the leap of faith of setting up UK Racking Inspection UK. Why? He knows that he can offer the highest standards as the norm, push boundaries of technology all to give YOU a professional service.
That’s not all… Ian is a local elected Councillor of his home town in Dudley, growing up living in pubs no wonder Ian is a key campaigner for The Crooked House (The Wonky Pub that was demolished), you can see/hear Ian in action.
